our-ASEAN.blogspot.com - Ariella "Ara" Arida Hernandez (born November 20, 1988, in Alaminos, Laguna) is a Filipino beauty titleholder who is the current Miss Universe-Philippines 2013. Prior to her win at Binibining Pilipinas, she was a runway models and was also a contender at the Miss Philippines Earth 2012 representing Alaminos, Laguna.
Ariella is a chemistry graduate from the University of the Philippines Los Baños from Alaminos, Laguna. She is a Sportswoman who loves the outdoors, especially the beach. Arida won Miss Universe-Philippines and Best in Swimsuit and crowned by Miss Universe 2012 1st Runner-up, Janine Tugonon at a pageant held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 14, 2013. She was crowned along with Binibining Pilipinas-International, Bea Rose Santiago; Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism, Joanna Cindy Miranda; Miss Supranational Philippines, Mutya Johanna Datul; and runner-up Pia Wurtzbach. Judge, Philippine National Police chief, Director General Alan Purisima was the one who questioned her. Her answer is this:
"One lesson in life that we, women, can teach men is being sensitive. Because we all know that men are more logical when it comes to decision. They usually are more rational, straight forward. Unlike we, women, we use our heart and we growing niche to get emotional in some of our decisions. For me, sensitivity is something that we can teach men. "
Ariella will finally take the 3rd Miss Universe crown for the Philippines??
Filipinas shone in Miss Universe since 2010, Venus took the 4th place, Shamcey took the 3rd place in 2011, Janine took the 1st place last year and let's pray for Ariella. May she take the crown this year, Mabuhay!
