Typhoon Haiyan Hits Northern Vietnam #PrayForVietnam

Our-ASEAN.blogspot.com - After running along the central region of Vietnam , Haiyan storm slams northern Quang Ninh - Hai Phong area, with its center in Quang Ninh, about 5 o'clock this morning , bringing winds as strong as 88 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 117 kph, the National Centre for Hydro - meteorological forecasting ( NCHMF ) reported.

Because of the storm , coastal northern provinces have 75-117 kp wind and some areas such as Bai Chay and islands suffer gusts up to 149 kph.
On Bach Long Vi Island in Hai Phong and Co To Island in Quang Ninh, the storm also reached 149 kph. Media storm has caused heavy rains to the province to the northeast, with rainfall measuring 370 mm in Mau Son (Lang Son province), 161 mm in Quang Ha (Quang Ninh Province) and 149 mm in Bach Long Vi (Hai Phong City).

After constantly moving, especially in the north with a speed of 15-20 km per hour, the storm was centered in the south China's southern province of Guang Xi at 11 am today, packing winds with a speed of 62-74 kilometers per hour and a storm of 75 - 102 kph. Storms will continue to move into southern and northeastern China weakened to a tropical depression, the NCHMF said.
From yesterday evening , at least 13 people were killed and 67 others injured in central provinces and north as they take steps to cope with the storm , the National Committee for Search and Rescue reported .
