Indonesia Sent $2 M Aid To The Typhoon Haiyan Victims

Indonesian government sent aid amounting to 2 million U.S. dollars for disaster victims Haiyan tropical cyclones or typhoons in the Philippines .

Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare Agung , representing the Government of Indonesia , symbolically handed over the assistance to the Philippine Ambassador Maria Rosario C. Aguinaldo , Tuesday ( 11/12/2013 ) yesterday , in the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for People's Welfare , Jakarta .


" Help consist of demand 1 million dollars and the remainder in the form of goods and logistics . Total goods delivered as much as 75 tons , " said Sutopo Purwo Nugroho , head of Center of Data Information and Public Relations BNPB , in a press release .


Each of the BNPB be 6,000 food packages , 1,000 packages of side dishes , 21,000 additional package of nutrition , 500 blankets, 1,000 packages of clothing , 1,000 packages of children's clothing , and 10 units of generator .


From the Ministry of Health is comprised of 10 lots of medicines and 500 packages of complementary feeding .


From the Ministry of Social Affairs in the form of 500 boxes of instant noodles , 1,000 food parcels , 1,000 packages of side dishes , and 1,000 packages of blankets .


The Ministry of Defence deployed three C - 130 Hercules aircraft and their crews to transport relief starting this Wednesday . The first stage carrying 36.6 tons of food , medicines , generators , and blankets from Halim Perdanakusumah air base with three flight sorties .


The first sorties carrying 12.54 tons which departs at 6:30 pm . Second sortie carrying 12.76 tons at 07:40 pm , and third sorties carrying 11 tonnes at 10.00 am .


The next shipment is planned on Thursday with three flight sorties .
